Temporary Store Closure
King Soopers remains committed to being there for their associates, customers and communities and in response to the temporary closure of our store located at 2910 South Academy Boulevard in Colorado Springs, we have been working to identify solutions that provide impacted community members with access to essential services.
Why is my store closing?
We are currently working with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to identify a cleanup plan to address the recent unexpected discovery of asbestos.
How is King Soopers working to help those of us affected by the closure?
To ensure our customers have access to fresh, affordable food and other essentials, we will begin offering free delivery services to impacted customers effective today, July 12. We will be automatically waiving delivery fees for South Academy Boulevard customers, via a digital coupon that will be preloaded to their loyalty account. We encourage you to visit our Ways to Shop-Delivery page to learn about the benefits of Delivery.
When will my store reopen?
Unfortunately, a timeline for reopening the store is currently unknown but we are doing our best to shorten the closure.
How will I get my prescriptions?
In an effort to meet the needs of pharmacy patients, we are currently operating a mobile pharmacy unit, staffed with certified pharmacists and qualified pharmacy technicians. The unit is located in the parking lot of the store and operates 7 days a week from 10am-6pm, with a 30-minute closure from 1-130pm. This mobile unit provides patients with access to medications and consulting services. We are also offering free prescription delivery for impacted patients while the store is closed.
